Automation Engineer
Catalyx is seeking an Automation & IT Integration\nEngineer with a strong background in process control systems and industrial\nautomation. This role serves as a key interface between Automation/OT and\non\-site IT teams, focusing on troubleshooting equipment connectivity,\nsupporting system integration, and ensuring reliable data flow across\nplatforms. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate automation concepts\nto IT personnel who may not have prior experience with industrial control\nsystems.

Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Serve as the primary liaison between\nAutomation/OT and IT teams. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to\nequipment connectivity, communication, and data flow. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support integration between industrial control\nsystems and IT infrastructure. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Assist IT teams in understanding automation\nsystems, architectures, and dependencies. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Configure, maintain, and support automation\nplatforms and data systems. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure accurate and reliable data collection\nthrough historian and integration platforms. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Participate in GxP/validation activities where\napplicable. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Document system configurations, architectures,\nand troubleshooting procedures. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support continuous improvement efforts related\nto system performance and reliability. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer\nScience, or related field (or equivalent experience). · <\/span><\/span><\/span>3+ years of experience in industrial automation\nor process control environments. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong experience with AVEVA PI System (PI\nHistorian). · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience working in GxP or validated\nenvironments. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience with Ignition SCADA platforms. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Experience with Rockwell Automation systems\n(Allen\-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk). · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong troubleshooting skills across OT and IT\nsystems. · <\/span><\/span><\/span>Ability to effectively communicate with IT teams\nunfamiliar with automation systems.
