Automation Engineer Mid [Workato, Power Platform, Mulesoft - full remote from Portugal or Europe]

We work on challenging initiatives with real impact, creating the conditions for a true professional leap.Whether joining with prior experience or through our Orange Juice programme, we are proud that many of our talents have gone on to become entrepreneurs or have progressed into leadership roles such as CTOs, IT Directors, Innovation Leads, or other senior positions in companies around the world."Those who join FCamara usually leave much better than when they arrived." – said by former Orange Bloods, not by us.Responsabilidades e atribuiçõesIn practical terms, this person will be primarily responsible for identifying, designing, and delivering automations that reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency across the company.On a day-to-day basis, you will:Design and implement end-to-end workflows using platforms such as Workato and Microsoft Power AutomateBuild seamless integrations between SaaS platforms, cloud databases, and internal systems using APIs, JSON data transformation, and webhooksDevelop RPA solutions for processes that cannot be integrated directly through APIsIntroduce intelligent, AI-enabled steps into workflows (utilizing Gemini, Copilot, or internal LLM endpoints) for text classification, summarization, and data extractionCreate reusable automation components, custom connectors, templates, and standards to accelerate pipeline deliveryMonitor automation performance, troubleshoot cloud flows, and optimize workflows to improve scalability and maintainabilityDocument automated solutions and operational procedures clearlyEstablish governance and best practices around automation while evaluating new technologies to improve the landscapeRequisitos e qualificaçõesFor this position, we are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in similar roles.You'll be the right fit if you bring these mandatory requirements:Hands-on expertise with enterprise-grade workflow and integration platforms, such as Workato, Power Automate, Mulesoft, n8nStrong experience delivering production-grade cloud workflow automation and systems integrationTechnical fluency in REST APIs, webhooks, data payloads (JSON/XML), and authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys)Deep familiarity with event-driven architectures and modern system integration patternsPractical knowledge of handling API inputs/outputs with LLMs and formatting structured prompts inside workflowsHybrid coding skills: Ability to write Python or JavaScript for data array cleanup, JSON parsing, and handling complex workflow logicAnd it will be very nice if you also bring:Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutionsKnowledge of document processing and automated data extractionAbility to create custom connectors for integration platformsBeyond technical knowledge, we also expect you to have a collaborative and team-oriented profile:Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPragmatic "builder" mindset, focusing on automation where it creates real business valueAbility to document technical procedures clearly and establish governanceProactivity in evaluating and proposing new automation technologiesInformações adicionaisThis is a full-remote position and you are welcome to apply for this position ONLY if you live in PORTUGAL or in the EUROPEAN UNION.
