Automotive Electronics Research Analyst- Mobility

The Team:

The analyst will be part of a global team of experts specializing in Software Defined Vehicles, E/E architectures and Semiconductors. Our team is part of a broader group of analysts worldwide, researching the vehicle market and its technologies, maintaining our position as the undisputed global market leader. The role will contribute to the delivery of current and new S&P Global Mobility services around the global System electronics and Semiconductor supply chain and demand across all automotive domains. We value a global mindset, collaboration, and continuous learning, ensuring our research remains relevant and impactful in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Research supply chain, market and technology trend on Automotive Electronics systems and Automotive chip. Critical topics include shifts in supplier ecosystem, impact of geopolitics on supply chain, chip shortage, migration to centralized electronics architectures and Software Defined Vehicles etc.

  • Explore and leverage state of -the art in-house GenAI tools to collect and understand relevant data and insights.

  • Leverage car electronics teardown analysis to extract relevant supplier and spec information

  • Attend conferences and events on automotive electronics to build network and collect insights.

  • Share and discuss insights and data with global team of electronics and semiconductor analysts.

  • Support update of automotive electronics and semiconductor market share analysis products

  • Support update of forecasts products for electronics systems and semiconductor

  • Contribute to regular insights and articles published for customers but also in social media

  • Work involves daily exchange and coordination with Electronics and Semiconductor analysts located in India but also in Americas, Europe, China, Korea, Japan.

  • Project work involvement, including cross-regional and cross-team cooperation as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Science or any similar technical field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry or in market research

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with automotive electronics technologies.

  • Experience working with or alongside sales teams to support business development.

  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing industry landscape and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
