An Automotive Product Specialist is a knowledgeable and customer-focused professional who serves as the expert on a dealership’s vehicle lineup. Unlike traditional sales roles, a product specialist focuses on educating customers, demonstrating vehicle features, and ensuring a seamless purchasing experience without the pressure of aggressive sales tactics.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Expertise: Have in-depth knowledge of all vehicle models, features, specifications, and technology, including safety features, performance, and connectivity options.
  • Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and provide detailed demonstrations of vehicles.
  • Test Drive Coordination: Guide customers through test drives, highlighting key features and benefits tailored to their needs.
  • Technology Demonstration: Explain and assist with vehicle technology, such as infotainment systems, driver-assist features, and mobile app connectivity.
  • Support Sales Process: Work alongside the sales team to ensure customers feel informed and comfortable making a purchase decision.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Maintain relationships with potential buyers, provide additional information as needed, and ensure satisfaction after a purchase.
