Automtive Test Technician - Torrance

Job description:

The Automotive Test Technician will support the Test Vehicle Fleet with Routine Maintenance, Repair, Parts Replacement, Data Acquisition Equipment Installation, Data Collection, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Instrument & collect data using proprietary data acquisition systems.
  • Vehicle Parts Ordering & Inventory Management.
  • Participate in and support special testing.
  • Complete vehicle maintenance, repairs, system diagnosis (incl. electrical), parts replacement, etc.
  • Re-flash vehicle software
  • Submit a Daily Report summarizing daily activity, future plan, etc.
  • Bi-Weekly Data Collection Schedule/Report.
  • Ability to work off-site independently and Report Out Daily Summary.
  • Other reports as required

Job Requirements:

  • Four (4) years licensed driving experience.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission proficiently, as well as an automatic transmission.
  • Ability to pass Drivers Training.
  • Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to communicate using Microsoft Applications (analyze data in MS Excel, Summarize concerns in MS PowerPoint.
  • 3+ years of related automotive experience.
  • High voltage system/battery safety training.
  • Experience with various alternative energy vehicle platforms preferred (BEV, Hybrid, Hydrogen, etc).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Automotive Technical certification/degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis.
  • Must be flexible and available to work overtime, and hours outside of normal demands, including weekends and Holidays.
  • Ability to pass Drug Screen, Physical, background check, pre-employment written and driving tests.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
