Robotics Engineer
At LionsBot, we build autonomous robots that combine perception, localization, and decision-making to operate safely and intelligently in real-world environments. Our embodied AI systems go beyond simulation, delivering robust autonomy that interacts seamlessly with people and dynamic surroundings.
The Role
Join our Autonomy team to design and deploy perception and visual SLAM pipelines that power our next generation of robots. You’ll work across sensor calibration, algorithm development, and embedded optimization, collaborating with navigation, mapping, and hardware engineers to deliver integrated autonomy stacks for fleet deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomy stacks for mobile robots.
- Build and improve SLAM, localization, mapping, path planning, and navigation systems
- Work with ROS / ROS 2 to integrate autonomy pipelines across perception, planning, and control
- Develop and tune robot behavior in real-world indoor and outdoor environments
- Integrate sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, depth cameras, wheel encoders, and GPS where applicable
- Improve robustness in dynamic, cluttered, and partially observable environments
- Debug autonomy issues related to mapping drift, localization loss, obstacle handling, and route planning
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to bring robots from prototype to deployment
- Evaluate system performance through testing, field trials, and continuous iteration
Requirements
● Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
● 0–3 years’ robotics/computer vision experience or exceptional academic projects.
● Proficient in C++17+ and Python on Linux.
● Experience with ROS/ROS2 and sensor calibration.
● Hands-on with perception or SLAM pipelines.
● Familiarity with OpenCV, PCL, and basic deep learning frameworks.
Nice to Have
● Embedded/ARM optimization experience.
● Knowledge of GTSAM, Ceres, or g2o.
● Experience with semantic mapping or modern tracking frameworks.
Why Join Us
At LionsBot, you won’t just write code —you’ll put intelligence into machines that move through and understand the real world. You’ll see your work come alive on fleets of robots, solving problems no one has tackled before. Here, you’ll shape the future of embodied AI, grow alongside some of the brightest minds in robotics, and build technology that redefines what autonomous systems can do.
