Be part of a centralised, Group-wide procurement function, driving sourcing strategies across OCBC’s regional footprint. Partner with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk, and finance to influence high-value sourcing decisions—including market data, cloud, and critical technology platforms—while delivering measurable commercial and strategic value.
How you succeed
You will need to develop a deep understanding of the bank's business and technology landscape, build strong relationships with stakeholders (i.e. including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors) and stay up to date with the latest technology trends and market developments to ensure that the bank is always ahead of the curve.
What you do
This role sits within OCBC’s Central Procurement Office (CPO) under Group Corporate Services, with dual responsibilities across Market Data (Category Leadership) and IT Software (Strategic Sourcing).
Lead the Market Data category at Group level, establishing governance frameworks, controls, and operating models to enable enterprise-wide visibility over contracts, entitlements, and usage
In parallel, the role operates within the IT Software strategic sourcing function, leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations in close partnership with Technology and business stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and compliant outcomes.
Drive demand consolidation and spend optimisation by managing subscriptions, licensing structures, and usage across business units
Develop and execute category strategies and supplier engagement plans, including leading complex negotiations with key Market Data vendors and exchanges- Develop and implement IT sourcing strategies to meet the bank's business needs
Identify, evaluate, and procure technology solutions from vendors
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure best value for the bank
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases and justify investments
Manage vendor relationships and ensure that vendors are meeting their contractual obligations
Who you are
A seasoned procurement and sourcing professional with 5 to12 years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or procurement, preferably within financial services
Experienced in Market Data and/or IT software sourcing, with a solid understanding of licensing models (e.g. subscriptions, enterprise, SaaS) and vendor ecosystems
Proven track record in leading complex commercial negotiations and delivering measurable outcomes in cost optimisation, value realisation, and risk mitigation
Strong understanding of procurement governance, TPRM (including KYV), and contract management, with the ability to operate in a regulated environment and meet audit requirements
Effective in stakeholder management, with experience partnering senior stakeholders across Technology, Business, Risk, Finance, and Legal
Analytical and structured, able to translate spend, usage, and benchmarking data into actionable sourcing strategies and negotiation positions
Disciplined and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on governance, documentation, and defensible decision-making
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment across stakeholders
