About the Role
Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a leading software engineering consultancy that partners with global organizations to design, build, and scale modern digital products. The company specializes in cloud-native engineering, distributed systems, and high-performance applications, delivering scalable solutions for organizations across multiple industries.
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong AWS and DevOps expertise to help build and operate secure, resilient, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on infrastructure automation, platform reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently.
You will work closely with engineering teams and technical stakeholders to improve cloud operations, automate infrastructure, and drive best practices across modern software delivery pipelines.
Your Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize secure, scalable AWS infrastructure supporting production applications
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, and related automation tools
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated software delivery
Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
Improve system observability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term improvements
Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate DevOps best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency
Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate infrastructure development, automation, and operational troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including networking, infrastructure, and account management
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, or similar tools
Solid experience managing containerized environments with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platforms
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, or CloudWatch
Proficiency in scripting using Bash, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
Strong troubleshooting skills with Linux/Unix systems and production infrastructure
Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and operational workflows
Fluent English communication skills
Ability to work independently in a collaborative remote-first environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cloud infrastructure for large-scale distributed systems
Knowledge of cloud security best practices and infrastructure governance
Experience optimizing cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency
Previous experience working in Agile software engineering teams
Consulting or client-facing experience within software delivery projects
