As a Back End Developer, you will offer your experience as part ofa dynamic and passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting ourclient. You will bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technicaland procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptableand to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographicallyseparated team will be key to the overall success.
Your Role/Job Responsibilities:
- Create technical, functional, and operational documentation for applications.
- Work effectively in an Agile Scrum environment (JIRA / Azure DevOps) and follow our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Use business requirements to drive the design of applications and technical architecture.
- Work with other developers, designers, and architects (local and remote) to ensure applications meet requirements and performance goals.
- Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting delivery.
- Configure, build, and test applications and technical architecture.
- Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
- Demonstrate understanding of and ability to implement software design patterns, such as Repository, UnitOfWork, IoC, Observer, Decorator, MVC, etc.
- Demonstrate understanding of and ability to implement programming concepts such as polymorphism, encapsulation, application interfaces, etc.
- Participate in quality management reviews.
- Coordinate and participate in structured peer reviews/walkthroughs/code reviews.
- Provide application/technical support.
- Maintain and/or update technical and/or industry knowledge and skills through continuous learning activities.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant field with 3+ years of software development experience (M.S. preferred).
- Strong experience in .NET Core framework (3.+), Microsoft Visual Studio Code & Microsoft Visual Studio for web application backends.
- Experienced with back-end technologies such as MS Entity Framework, EF Data migration strategies, LINQ /Fluent queries, AutoMapper, OAuth2/OIDC w/ Azure B2C, SwaggerSwashBuckle (OpenAPI), Serilog, etc.
- Strong experience in API hardening using Azure B2C with JWT & OAuth/OIDC roles, claims, etc. Some understanding of Azure B2C Configuration is desired.
- Strong experience with Microservices/API documentation using OpenAPI 3.1/Swagger; ability to understand best practices and standards when designing Microservices/APIs.
- Strong experience in MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, TSQL, SQL Views, Stored Procedures, Functions, general creation of DDL/DML and optimization concepts.
- Strong experience in Paired Programming, Test Driven Development, etc.
- Strong experience in CI/CD environments and pipelines, especially in Azure and AWS.
- Strong experience with microservices-based architecture.
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, AZURE) a plus.
- DevOps tools experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.) a plus.
