Backend Developer

**Note**: Final Designation / Level will be decided based on the relevant experience and interview ratings

Job Summary:-

EWar Games provides an opportunity to work on the latest technologies in one of the most friendliest and informal work environments around. Currently, we are looking for a Full-stack Web Developer or backend developer who would be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, performance-oriented, high traffic server applications for gaming.

• Candidate should be an enthusiast about the latest backend technologies, including server applications, databases, and infrastructure.

• Understanding -frontend technologies would be a plus.

• Ability to quickly understand legacy code, design, and architecture to be able to maintain it is a must.

• Understanding of various security threats in the current scenario and knowledge of different solutions to deal with them is a must.

• Good understanding of web application performance metrics like Response time, Error rate, CCU, Requests per second, Throughput, etc.

Responsibilities

• Works with the online IT team to design, build, maintain, and test a server infrastructure.

• Ensures tight integration between web apps, mobile apps, and servers.

• Monitors services and works to improve the quality of the online experience throughout the life of the game.

• Ensures that our games have suitable anti-cheat and anti-hack technology in place

• Implementing automated scale-up / scale-down for optimal user experience

• BE/B tech in computer science or a related engineering field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

• Good knowledge of client-server architectures, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and low-level network protocols (TCP/IP).

• Proficiency in Node.js

• Knowledge of a NoSQL database ex. MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis,DynamoDB

• Good communication skills and comfortable working with other EWar Games stakeholders.

• Experience building and deploying software services

• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Perforce and Git
