We’re looking for a Backend Development Engineer (.Net/Cloud) to join our Signify Dynalite R&D Application Software Team in Moorebank, Sydney.

Job Summary

As a Backend Development Engineer, you will be part of the global development team of Signify Dynalite, working on the world’s finest lighting control system. You will be responsible for developing and continuously improving our desktop/web apps, supporting backend and cloud features, as well as maintaining our on-site manufacturing processes.

What you’ll do

  • You will join a talented cross-functional team that is responsible for developing new data driven features for the Dynalite ecosystem.

  • You will support software development required in Dynalite manufacturing systems.

  • Work in close collaboration with Feature Teams in a fast-paced Agile SAFe environment

  • You will work on adding new APIs to our established framework, including the enablement of features and insights to further enrich our applications.

  • You will perform data analytics, prepare new and improve existing datasets

  • You will keep ahead of the latest developments in your domain, learn and innovate on our development practices and processes, and share that knowledge with others.

Critical Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other Engineering related discipline

  • Strong experience in backend and cloud development.

  • Intermediate experience with Cloud & DevOps environments (AWS or Azure)

  • Intermediate proficiency in .Net (C#) or Java and other common industry relevant frameworks

  • Intermediate proficiency in databases and good understanding of API design and development.

  • Experience with writing unit, component and integration tests

  • You’re a deeply hands-on engineer who loves solving complex software problems encapsulating cloud resources, physical devices and manufacturing processes.

  • You’re eager to assess and learn new languages and techniques to complement your problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills and flexibility to closely collaborate with partners and overseas colleagues

  • Full working authorization in Australia
