Good Luck Bagels is Singapore’s first vintage-inspired bakery blending handcrafted bagels with cultural experiences. We bake fresh bagels daily and host workshops and events that celebrate craftsmanship, culture, and community in a nostalgic, artisan space.

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Baker to lead daily bagel production, ensure consistent product quality, and help establish efficient bakery systems in a new neighbourhood bagel shop and workshop space. This role is central to building our production standards, team capability, and product identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production of bagels and bakery items to meet quality and volume targets
  • Prepare dough from mixing, fermenting, shaping, boiling, baking, and finishing according to recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistent product quality, appearance, and taste through ongoing monitoring and process control
  • Plan and manage daily production schedules, including par levels and output planning
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate ordering requirements to ensure smooth operations
  • Train and supervise bakery assistants and kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency
  • Support recipe refinement and development of new products
  • Assist in preparation and facilitation of workshops and bakery demonstrations when required

Requirements

  • Experience in a bakery, café, pastry kitchen, or similar food production environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of production
  • Physically fit and comfortable with early morning shifts
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and adaptability in a startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience opening or launching a new bakery or café
  • Experience training or supervising new staff (if needed)
  • Knowledge of production planning and inventory management
  • Interest in teaching or participating in customer workshops
