Bank’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) has embarked on an ambitious journey to revolutionise digital banking by building innovative digital platform &products that competes not just with the Financial Institutions but with the new breed of Fintech companies. Digital Channel Solutions (DCS) is the core team within the bank which champions this vision and is responsible to drive the digitisation agenda with our corporate and institutional clients.
Business
We are embarking on a standardisation journey to move away from customised file formats for corporate payments to standardised formats. As part of the initiative, we are migrating in-scope clients’ current Universal Adapter (UA)templates to Client Defined Formats (CDF) templates via automated back end migration tool. UA is a proprietary conversion utility which enables clients to submit their custom file formats and converts these file formats to bank’s proprietary file formats.
Processes
As an Associate Manager, Client Migration, you will be responsible for owning and managing end-to-end client UA template migration using approved automated migration tools, ensuring transitions are executed accurately, safely, and inline with agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities include
- Plan client templates migration to meet required timeline while ensuring no client impact
- Leverage automated tool to set up new CDF templates for each client, test each template to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for client use and deploy to clients in production.
- You will need to identify potential migration risks or incompatibilities early and work with internal stakeholders to resolve issues before client impact.
- You will also need to provide technical support to clients on queries, issues, or defects, including investigation and remediation of new template issue.
People &Talent
- Working closely with technology, product, implementation, and client‑facing teams, the role ensures smooth client transitions away from Universal Adapter (UA), with strong emphasis on operational continuity, control effectiveness, and issue‑free migration outcomes.
Risk Management
- Act as a point of contact for issues arising during template analysis, migration, testing, or client transition.
- Investigate root causes of migration failures, data mapping gaps, or template in compatibilities.
- Track issues, exceptions, and resolutions in a structured manner, escalating where appropriate.
- Support interim workarounds or controlled solutions to minimise client disruption during transition.
Governance
- Maintain accurate records of template status, migration progress, and key risks.
- Contribute to reporting on migration progress, thematic issues, and operational risks.
- Identify recurring issues or inefficiencies and propose improvements to analysis or migration processes.
