SUMMARY:

The Bar Back assists the Bartender in providing ultimate hospitality for guests in a casino environment while ensuring all laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible beverage service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers guest questions about menu item and specials.
  • Maintains knowledge of beverages and food offerings, including special menu items.
  • Observes guest behavior for signs of intoxication and communicates professionally with guests and staff.
  • Ensures the quality and presentation of bar operations meet or exceed the expectations of guests.
  • Performs bar top maintenance, including bussing and sanitizing as needed.
  • Stocks and restocks items (e.g., ice, juices, glassware, towels, kegs, CO2 tanks, soda bags, ETC…) as needed.
  • Checks and replenishes supplies at all bar and server stations (e.g., soap, paper towels, server wells)
  • Checks glass washers for proper chemical mixture and volume.
  • Empties and cleans trash containers regularly.
  • Keeps bar floors and surrounding areas clean and clear of hazards.
  • Organizes and cleans, sweeps, and mops coolers and storage areas to comply with Health and Safety Regulations. Continually stocks the liquor room shelves from the back up cases.
  • Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.
  • Attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.
  • Abide by F & B department policies and procedures, Alcohol Beverage Service Policy, BWRC Guest Service Agreement, Arizona State Liquor Law Title 4, Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol Ordinance.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.
