Baristas are responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and light food items, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Essential Job Functions:
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and cold brews.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all drinks and food items meet quality standards and presentation guidelines.
- Handle cash and card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Engage with customers, answer questions about the menu, and offer recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operation of the café.
