Battery & Motor Component Sales


Job Purpose:<\/b>
<\/h2>

To drive business growth by developing and managing sales of EV powertrain components<\/b> \u2014 primarily batteries, battery packs, motors, controllers, and chargers<\/b> \u2014 to OEMs, EV startups, system integrators, and distributors in the two\-wheeler segment. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building long\-term partnerships, and achieving sales targets through strategic account management and technical solution selling.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition<\/b>
<\/h3>
  • Identify and onboard 2W OEMs, EV startups, and Tier\-II integrators<\/b> for component supply partnerships.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Generate new business leads in both domestic and export markets<\/b> for EV powertrain components.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Develop sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives, market trends, and product roadmaps.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Conduct techno\-commercial presentations<\/b> highlighting component specifications, performance, and value proposition.
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul>


    2. Product & Solution Sales<\/b>
    <\/h3>
    • Promote and sell a defined range of EV components<\/b>, including:
      <\/p>

      • Battery Packs<\/b> (Li\-ion, LFP, NMC)
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Battery Management Systems (BMS)<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Hub Motors / Mid\-Drive Motors<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Motor Controllers<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • DC\-DC Converters<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • On\-board / Off\-board Chargers<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Power Electronics & Wiring Harnesses<\/b>
        <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

      • Work with engineering and R&D teams to offer customized component solutions<\/b> based on client requirements.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Educate clients on product certifications (AIS\-156, IP ratings, safety compliance, etc.) and technical performance parameters.
        <\/p><\/li><\/ul>


        3. Account & Relationship Management<\/b>
        <\/h3>
        • Build and maintain relationships with OEM Purchase, R&D, and Sourcing teams.<\/b>
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Manage end\-to\-end sales cycle \u2014 from inquiry, quotation, and sampling to PO closure and payment follow\-up.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Track and support project development stages (from design\-in to SOP) for long\-term supply opportunities.
          <\/p><\/li>

        • Ensure timely response to RFQs, technical clarifications, and commercial negotiations.
          <\/p><\/li><\/ul>


          4. Market Intelligence & Strategy<\/b>
          <\/h3>
          • Monitor EV industry trends, competitor offerings, and price movements in the battery and motor domain.
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Identify potential opportunities in battery\-swapping networks, charging infrastructure<\/b>, and fleet electrification programs.<\/b>
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Provide regular updates to management on market shifts, customer feedback, and future technology needs.
            <\/p><\/li>

          • Support in defining product positioning, pricing strategies, and go\-to\-market initiatives.
            <\/p><\/li><\/ul>


            5. Collaboration & Cross\-Functional Coordination<\/b>

            • Work closely with R&D, Quality, and Production teams<\/b> to ensure smooth technical approvals and deliveries.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics<\/b> for timely order execution and dispatch planning.
              <\/p><\/li>

            • Collaborate with Marketing teams<\/b> for participation in EV expos, industry events, and technical seminars.

              6. Reporting & Performance Tracking<\/b>

              • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue dashboards.

              • Maintain all client records, inquiries, and activities in CRM systems.
                <\/p><\/li>

              • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and margins.

                            • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering.<\/b>

                            • MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.

                              Experience Required:<\/b>

                              • 5\u201310 years of experience in EV component sales / powertrain sales / automotive supplier sales.<\/b>
                                <\/p><\/li>

                              • Exposure to EV 2W / 3W market<\/b>, OEM supply chain, or component integration preferred.
                                <\/p><\/li>

                              • Prior experience with battery pack, motor, or controller manufacturers<\/b> is highly desirable.
