Before and After School Care Site Supervisor - Waterford School District
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
The Before and After School Care (Y BASE) Site Supervisor is a year-round position that will be responsible for the guidance and direction of Before and After School Care Programming during the school year and transition to camp programming in the summer months.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and actively participate in daily activities for youth before and after school.
- Serve as a role model to staff and participants and act as the on-site supervisor of the Y BASE staff, and camp programs when applicable.
- During the summer months will be assigned a leadership role for day camp.
- Manage all materials and supplies needed for planned activities and maintain quality of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Develop positive relationships will the staff, families, and children while providing motivational support and guidance, including parent conferences and handling complaints in a courteous, patient manner using problem solving techniques.
- Build a professional collaboration with local school district administration and staff to develop programming that aligns with district values, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain participant records and other documentation in accordance with department requirements.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of learning spaces and classrooms.
- Follow the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County’s emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all children, including but not limited to, communicating with supervisor regarding any emergency concerns or situations.
- Uphold the core values of the YMCA when working with people within the YMCA facilities and community.
- Follow all relevant regulations from the Department of Children and Families, Young Star, or other regulatory agencies.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Other duties as necessary and as assigned by supervisor.
