Where will you end up?

In this role, you will be part of the Business Insight Center (BIC). The BIC helps Robeco make better decisions by translating data into clear and reliable insights. We work closely with business teams across the organization, supporting them with dashboards, analytics, and data expertise. The team operates at the intersection of business and IT and plays a key role in enabling self-service analytics while maintaining quality and consistency.

BIC is part of the Reporting Services team, which empowers Robeco’s Operations and Investment teams by delivering high‑end, strategic, client‑centric, digital, and data‑driven reporting solutions for both internal and external clients.

Position & Requirements

You will operate at the intersection of BI and modern data engineering, taking ownership of end-to-end analytics solutions, from data modelling and transformation to dashboard delivery, while contributing to the evolution of our cloud-based data platform.

You are expected to work independently, act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, and play a key role in improving scalability, quality, and maintainability of our reporting landscape.

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformations using dbt on Snowflake
• Develop, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports (primarily in Qlik)
• Translate business needs into robust data models, metrics, and visual insights
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and advise on data-driven solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across the reporting chain
• Contribute to the development of the Azure-based data platform and data pipelines
• Drive best practices in analytics engineering (modularity, testing, documentation)
• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Continuously improve performance, scalability, and usability of data solutions

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or data engineering
• Has a relevant background (e.g. IT, data, business analytics, econometrics, or similar)
• Has strong hands-on experience with
  • SQL and data modelling
  • dbt (data build tool)
  • Snowflake (or comparable cloud data warehouse)
  • Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar
• Has proven experience in developing dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau)
• Is able to translate business questions into scalable and reusable data solutions
• Has strong stakeholder management skills and ability to bridge business and IT
• Has an ownership mindset with attention to quality, structure, and documentation

Experience in financial services or asset management and experience with Qlik are strong plusses.
