Bilingual Administrative Assistant - Pediatric Outpatient Clinic | Richmond, TX

JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties
as assigned, to facilitate the efficient operation of the company.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Courteously handle incoming phone calls with professionalism and efficiency.
• Greet visitors warmly and direct them to the appropriate departments.
• Check patients in upon arrival.
• Collect and post copayments, deductibles and/or coinsurance.
• Input new patients into documentation software.
• Assist with intake process as needed and assigned.
• Assist with translation and scheduling.
• Maintain digital and physical filing systems, ensuring documents are readily accessible.
• Assist with insurance verification.
• Assist with medical billing tasks such as running weekly reports, following up with
insurance companies, handling pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Fill in in the absence of any employee and perform their duties as able.
• Maintain office supplies inventory, equipment maintenance request logs and
vendor relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or GED program preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point, outlook).
• Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management.

systems such as filing and record keeping.
• Resourceful problem-solving skills: the ability to find solutions
through research.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)


REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to talk on the phone extensively.
• Ability to bend, lift, pull and push at least 25 lbs.
• Must have the visual ability to prepare, analyze and transcribe data and figures.
