Billing Supervisor (THL)

POSITION SCOPE:
The Supervisor – Billing has the primary responsibility of supervising and training Clerks – Billing I, II, & III on bill-of-lading entries into AS400, while providing assistance with customer rates and other administrative duties, enhancing current processes to achieve higher levels of efficiency and accuracy for the department KPI’s. The Supervisor – Pricing is also tasked with building productive lines of communication with the Pricing Department to advise if rates are pulling incorrectly into AS400.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise daily activities of billing personnel
- Advise pricing of rate discrepancies in the AS/400 auto rating system.
- Update Customer Account Master (i.e., the salesperson’s rates, publications, bill-to numbers and addresses).
- Answers emails to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Research and reconcile rates through crediting and rebilling customer accounts.
- Distributes workflow among billing clerks and offers assistance if any team member is having difficulty completing an assigned task.
- Provides training for new hires and additional training for existing billing clerks.
- Assists the Collections, AR and Billing Departments with questions pertaining to customer’s contractual requirements and rate scales.
- Provides assistance to Sale Representatives and external customers with respect to rate scales.
- Conducts annual performance evaluation reviews for all direct reports
- Ability to work on-site while performing essential functions
- Approving and monitoring employee timecards
- Able to bill from Salvage portal and Credit and Rebill que.
- Keep track for imaging system and help keep the manual indexing up to date.
- Ability to make decisions based on XGS Core Values
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and system issues
- Develop billing personnel for continued growth and understanding of the big picture impact of billing role
- Able to multitask.

Qualifications
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
- year relevant billing experience required, preferably in the transportation industry
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Experience in MS Office software (Word, Excel),
- Able to type 40wpm/12000KPM
- Strong communications skills (Written, verbal)

ENVIRONMENT
Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.
