BIM Technician - Civils
Design & Drafting (Primary)
Produce detailed and accurate 2D drawings for civil, structural, and infrastructure projects, including plans, sections, schematics, and construction details.
Interpret engineering sketches, design notes, and technical instructions, converting them into clear, buildable drawings.
Resolve drafting-related issues independently and propose practical solutions when required.
Execute drafting tasks using AutoCAD and MicroStation with consistent quality and compliance to Hong Kong standards.
Coordination & Support
Collaborate with engineers and multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure design alignment and drawing consistency.
Support coordination meetings and design discussions where drafting input is required.
Provide assistance and guidance to junior CAD staff when necessary.
Quality & Standards
Ensure all drawings meet internal and project-specific quality, formatting, and documentation standards.
Perform self-checks and assist in reviewing junior technicians’ drawings for accuracy and presentation.
Maintain, enhance, and help update CAD templates, symbols, manuals, and standard details.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain proper revision control, version tracking, file organization, and documentation records.
Follow project naming conventions, documentation workflows, and submission requirements.
BIM (Optional / Bonus)
Ability to extract 2D drawings from BIM models (Revit / Civil 3D).
Basic familiarity with model navigation.

Technical Proficiency
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation CONNECT Edition.
Ability to troubleshoot drafting challenges and solve CAD-related problems independently.
Communication
Good communication skills in written and spoken English with clear reporting and coordination ability.

Responsible, proactive, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Certificate / Diploma in Civil, Structural, or related engineering drafting discipline.
Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in infrastructure works.
With exposure to structural and reinforced concrete (R.C.) drafting
Skilled in producing drawings using both AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Good technical judgment and communication skills.
