Bim Technician - Plumbing and Fire protection.
To work as part of our Services Team to provide CAD/BIM support to engineering projects. The successful candidate’s role will be as an MEP Revit Technician within the WSP India in our Bangalore/Noida office producing BIM models and detailed engineering designs and construction drawings. You can expect to be active on several projects at any given time. You will report to CAD/BIM Manager in Project functionally and reporting to Line manager operationally.
Prepare MEP 3D Revit Model in LOD-350/400
Coordinate models with other MEP services, Architectural and Structural model.
Clash detection and clash resolution
Create Parametric Revit Families.
Provide specialist support to design teams preparing analysis and design models
Support design teams and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualisations
Support design teams and bid teams with creation of 4D models / visualisations
Prepare quantities for use in BoQs from the 3D model.
Key Competencies / Skills:
Experience in the use of the following software is essential:
REVIT MEP
AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
Navisworks
Dynamo script
Experience in the use of the following software is desirable but not essential:
Autodesk 3ds MAX
MS Excel
MS Word
The candidate must:
Have good English communication skills.
Ability to access the time requirement for completion of the task.
Be able to work closely with colleagues at a senior level.
Be computer literate.
Have a valid passport and be prepared to be seconded for up to 3 months as projects dictate (base will be Bangalore/Noida).
Ability to plan and manage his/her workload
Lateral thinking and knowledge in other MEP services.
Ability to understand own limitations and limitations of the software being used
Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical engineering is preferred in addition to Draughting qualifications.
4+ year's production experience in design, drafting and engineering with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record
Certification from reputed training institute or skill development center is an added advantage.
