BOILER PLANT OPERATOR

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will serve as boiler plant operator on a rotating watch assignment, operating, maintaining, and performing preventive maintenance on high pressure utility boilers and related machinery, equipment and systems.

You will independently start, operate, adjust, stop, maintain, and perform various operational repairs in multiple-fuel (oil and natural gas) power boilers and associated auxiliary and pollution control equipment.

You will check measurement devices (e.g., feed water regulators, flow meters, flue gas temperature gauges, water level indicators) to determine if boilers are operating within prescribed limits.

You will perform operational maintenance and make repairs of limited/moderate complexity on mechanical or electrical parts.

You will maintain narrative log on plant operating conditions and communicate plant status to supervisor, leader, and next shift operators.
