Schedule: Fully Remote – will report to office in Fairfield County few times monthly
Hours: 32-40 hours per week – flexible hours

Summary of Position:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented and dependable to oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for our Client in Fairfield Country, including but not limited to ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting budgeting, payroll processes, AR, AP, Financial statements including income statement, cash flow statement & balance sheets. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level or accuracy.

Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Payments -
- Coordinate/Process all incoming/outgoing payments, including accounts payable and receivable
- Record daily financial transactions - ensure accurate posting to general ledger and subledgers
- Process expense reports and maintain proper documentation of all transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations
Financial Reporting & P&L Management -
- Prepare/Maintain monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances
- Generate ad hoc financial reports to support business decisions
Budgeting & Financial Planning -
- Assist in development and management of operating budgets
- Monitor expenses against budget and report on trends or variances
- Support financial forecasting and planning activities
Payroll & Benefits Administration -
- Process biweekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain payroll records and ensure proper deductions and tax withholdings
- Support employee onboarding related to payroll, tax, and benefits documentation
Retirement & Benefits Coordination -
- Assist with administration of retirement plans (e.g., 401(k)) and employee contributions
- Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
Compliance & Regulatory Support -
- Maintain accurate - complete financial records to support audits and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax consultants, and insurance brokers as needed
- Prepare or support quarterly and annual financial and non-tax filings
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and help refine procedures related to financial operations
Additional Responsibilities -
- Utilize QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems to manage financial data
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support internal financial processes, including intercompany reporting where applicable
- Review of financial documentation for accuracy and completeness
Qualifications:
- Experience using QuickBooks Desktop/Online or other cloud-based accounting software
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or 2 + year’s prior bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in use of various software programs, including Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information
- Strong understanding of payroll and financial reporting processes
- Ability to meet time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to work on-site in the Greenwich location at least one day per week
- Ability to commit at least 32 working hours per week
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
