Overview

vivo Europe Marketing is seeking a Brand Communications Planning Manager with a sharp editorial instinct for imaging content and proven capability in localized community engagement. This role focuses on user engagement and brand communications for the vivo X Series flagship imaging products in Europe. The core mandate is to build long-term, asset-driven content, community programs, and creator collaborations around European photographers, imaging enthusiasts, and visual culture ecosystems—anchoring vivo's long-term brand equity through imaging. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in contemporary visual culture (street photography, documentary, independent publishing, emerging visual authors) and understands how to work with creators, communities, and content.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging User Engagement Strategy

  • Conduct independent insight analysis of the European market landscape, competitor activities (Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor, etc.), and contemporary visual culture trends to develop imaging user engagement strategies
  • Own the formulation and execution of imaging user engagement strategies for the vivo X Series in Europe, including phased content themes, community activity cadence, and creator collaboration matrix
  • Coordinate vertical functions to connect regional imaging strategy with localized execution across pilot markets

Photographer & Imaging Community Engagement

  • Own day-to-day communication and annual collaboration planning with key partners including agency-represented photographers and ZEISS-affiliated photographers, sustaining stable and long-term creator relationships
  • Build and maintain a photographer and imaging community database across core European markets (Spain, Poland, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, etc.), covering diverse creative ecosystems including street photography, documentary, independent publishing, and emerging visual authors
  • Lead communication design, content planning, and creative collaborations with photographers, imaging collectives, and creator communities ensuring brand activity aligns with community context and preserves the creative independence of partners
  • Co-create localized user engagement programs with country agencies; identify local imaging culture opportunities (e.g., local photo festivals, independent galleries, creator collectives) and translate them into actionable brand initiatives

Imaging Content Planning & On-Ground Activations

  • Plan and organize intimate on-ground activations for photographers and imaging enthusiasts, including but not limited to workshops, screenings, photo salons, city photo walks, and partnership programs with photo festivals
  • Lead imaging content planning (feature stories, creator interviews, photo collections, etc.), delivering communication assets that meet editorial-grade aesthetic standards and avoid overly branded presentation
  • Support the development of long-term imaging brand assets, including content libraries, community relationship equity, and reusable methodologies

Project Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Integrate regional strategy with agency teams to run imaging user engagement projects through the full lifecycle; conduct regular reviews, codify learnings, and deliver against user engagement KPIs
  • Collaborate effectively across PR, IMC, product, e-commerce, and channel functions to ensure imaging content assets are reused efficiently across all touchpoints
  • Manage project budgets, track KPIs, evaluate outcomes, and report key progress to regional leadership on a regular basis

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree or above (any discipline), with 5-7 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in user engagement or community-focused roles
  • Genuine interest in and knowledge of contemporary visual culture; familiarity with street photography, documentary, independent publishing, and emerging visual authors
  • Demonstrated experience in social platform operations and the organization of intimate on-ground activations; understanding of creators, communities, and content
  • Sharp market insight and cultural instinct; clear logical thinking, strong communication, and proven ability to drive execution
  • Data-sensitive and organized; proficient in data analysis methods and standard office tools
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, horizontal alignment, and project execution capabilities; able to independently solve complex problems
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English—both usable as daily working languages

Preferred

  • Overseas working experience (especially in Europe), or established local resources in photography / imaging culture
  • Prior experience with imaging brands, cultural institutions, independent publishers, photo festivals, or creator community platforms
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with photographers, independent galleries, photo curators, or cultural brands
  • Proficiency in additional European languages (Spanish, Italien, Polish, German, etc.) is a plus
