Job Description\:
You will play a key role in delivering a professional building custodianship in support of BAE systems Maritime Services Ship upkeep and maintenance operations within Portsmouth Naval base.
This role will require you to help assist building occupancies & Managers in the Warship business support stream to ensure the ship hall is operated in a safe, secure environment, enabling a capable and effective team.
Core duties\:
- You will liaise with the building occupants & Managers to ensure all required facilities are in order
- You will check all health & safety notices are up to date with the lates Portsmouth Naval Base communications
- You will oversee fire alarm tests & procedures
- You will lead all SHE activities & promote good behaviours to building occupants throughout all buildings
Essential Skills\:
- You will have an engineering background, which will be demonstrated through being an effective team member
- You will have high degree of customer service ability to maintain effective relationships with internal/external customer enquires
- You will be knowledgeable in SHE practices
The Facilities Management Team\:
This is a role within the Naval Base where a lot of the naval base materials are converted into parts & equipment for the MOD warships, it plays a big part in the future of the navy & the development of the warship service industry, as a Bae Custodian you will be looking after the building & facilities needs to support these exciting projects that evolve a great pace.
