Business Activation Specialist


Location: Guadalajara, Mexico | Hybrid 4 days in the office- Business Edge Customer Activation Specialist

At IHG, we believe in creating exceptional experiences – for our guests and for our people. We are looking for a Customer Activation Specialist to proactively engage with newly enrolled IHG Business Edge B2B customers to ensure they quickly reach their potential.

Role Summary

The Customer Activation Specialist is responsible for engaging and activating newly enrolled IHG Business Edge customers, helping them understand program benefits and guiding them through the activation process to drive early engagement and bookings.

This role is ideal for someone with hospitality or hotel operations experience who enjoys building relationships with customers and delivering excellent service. Candidates with backgrounds in Front Desk, Guest Services, Reservations, Hotel Sales, or similar hotel-facing roles are highly encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage newly enrolled customers through outbound communication to support account activation and encourage immediate program usage

  • Guide customers through the onboarding and activation process, answering initial questions related to bookings, rates, and program benefits

  • Develop a strong understanding of IHG programs including IHG Business Edge, IHG One Rewards, and IHG Business Rewards

  • Apply hospitality knowledge to provide a positive and consultative customer experience

  • Partner closely with Program Managers, Business Development Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure accounts are activated quickly and smoothly

  • Identify high-potential accounts and escalate risks or delays when needed

  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates within CRM platforms such as Salesforce

  • Support customer engagement initiatives and tailor communication based on customer needs


What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in hospitality, hotel operations, front desk, guest services, reservations, hotel sales, or customer-facing hotel roles preferred

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable making proactive outbound calls and engaging customers directly

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts and priorities

  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Business-level fluency in written and spoken English
