Directs and coordinates accounting operations which include cash processing and voucher examination. Responsible for the monthly submission of cash reports and proof-checks. Responsible for the accuracy of all financial obligations to ensure compliance with established regulations. Conducts cash verifications, draft compliance reviews, physical inventories, government credit card reviews, and provide training to institution staff on a regular basis. Directs the formulation of budget requests, reviews monthly salary projections, monitors the fund control systems of each program manager, and prepares monthly reports detailing the financial status of each program area. Provides training to the Associate Wardens and Program Managers on the requirements of the Budget, Obligation, and Travel Modules. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff's correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
