CrossCountry is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Revenue Forecasting & Business Analysis Analyst to join our Procurement team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping revenue performance across one of the UK's largest rail networks.

Working closely with the greater Procurement team, you will help develop and monitor revenue forecasts, business plans, and performance reporting across short, medium, and long-term planning horizons.

Your analysis will directly support commercial decision-making, helping the business maximise opportunities, manage risks, and deliver sustainable growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support the development, monitoring, and reporting of CrossCountry's revenue budgets and business plans using industry-leading forecasting and revenue management tools.

  • Produce and maintain a comprehensive suite of revenue and passenger journey performance reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Analyse business performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of CrossCountry's routes, markets, customer segments, and competitive landscape.

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to support strategic decision-making and commercial planning.

  • Work collaboratively with Revenue Management, Pricing, Distribution, Marketing, and Customer teams to support business initiatives and revenue growth opportunities.

  • Assist in the development of business cases and investment proposals by providing robust commercial and financial analysis.

  • Deliver insightful reporting and forecasts that support the achievement and delivery of CrossCountry's commercial objectives.

  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and confidently to both internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree educated in a numerate discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Management, or similar.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful insights.

  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a strong understanding of analytical and statistical techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of revenue management, pricing strategies, demand forecasting, or commercial analytics.

  • Experience working with databases and large datasets.

  • Strategic planning, forecasting, or business reporting experience.

  • Understanding of the UK rail industry and/or the CrossCountry network.

  • Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
