Business Analyst- Associate

As a Business Analyst in the Capital Product team within JP Morgan's Treasury and Chief Investment Office, you will collaborate with functional, technology, and business partners to translate regulatory and business requirements into clear deliverables, support data analysis and testing, and ensure high-quality implementation aligned with strategic priorities.

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to define execution strategies and propose practical approaches for implementing new regulations, capital interpretations, and model changes
  • Develop and oversee capital implementation plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory timelines, business priorities, and data requirements
  • Partner with functional teams and technology groups to gather requirements, analyze data impacts, and execute project plans through to completion
  • Document and deliver comprehensive, high-quality business requirements, functional specifications, and data analysis outputs
  • Prepare detailed test cases, expected results, and evidence to support functional and user acceptance testing
  • Identify project benefits and establish clear success criteria, acceptance criteria, and definition of done
  • Track milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and data-quality considerations, escalating items as needed
  • Drive change control and configuration management processes while influencing stakeholders across seniority levels
  • Resolve conflicts through collaboration, evidence-based analysis, and clear decision-making
  • Adhere to a challenging delivery schedule in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Communicate regularly with program sponsors, senior stakeholders, and delivery partners on progress, risks, and decisions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • 3+ years of treasury, financial, regulatory reporting, or data analysis experience at a large financial institution
  • Experience working on large and complex data-focused initiatives across multiple functional groups in a high-demand environment
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve analysis, documentation, presentations, productivity, and decision-making
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently manage work across initiatives, multi-task effectively, and respond quickly to changing priorities or issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to large groups

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of Basel III Finalization rules and analysis for EMEA Basel III
  • Working knowledge of regulatory capital rules
  • Ability to query and analyze large datasets using SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools
  • Understanding of key data governance concepts and principles
