What you'll do:
During your time with us, you’ll have the opportunity to work on one or more projects to help develop your practical Business Analysis experience. This experience can count towards accumulating your Personal Development (PD) hours for the IIBA designation of your choice. You will also enhance your leadership, communication and organization skills to name a few. You’ll gain practical stakeholder management experience in a flat organization that is a technology leader in its field.
The opportunity:
- 8 month work-term beginning September 2026.

How you'll make an impact:
- Design and develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept (POCs) for AI-driven tools that automate and enhance business analysis tasks (e.g., requirements validation, risk detection, process mining).
- Contribute to the architecture of a "Business-Analysis-as-a-Service" (BAaaS) platform, focusing on scalability, modularity, and integration.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for platform services and intelligent agents.
- Develop scripts and build data pipelines to ingest, process, and structure business data for use in AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and engineers in an agile environment to translate high-level business problems into technical specifications and functional code.
- Work with modern development tools and cloud platforms to build and deploy your solutions.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by researching emerging technologies in AI, process automation, and platform engineering, and presenting your findings and ideas to the team.
- Work closely with members of the EPM team as well as stakeholders from many departments throughout Geotab and drive the project from initiation through completion.
- Assist in the collection, consolidation and mapping of required information and data.
- Document client organization’s direction, structure, business processes and requirements.
- Make use of the Business Process Framework and understand business process modelling notation and techniques, as well as process improvement methods and criteria.
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) by participating in process reviews and/or providing process modelling services of current state and/or future state.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Business or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and make well-judged decisions.
- Demonstrable proficiency in a major programming language, with a strong preference for Python due to its extensive use in AI/ML.
- The ability to approach business problems from an engineering perspective, breaking down complex processes into logical, automatable components.
- A passion for tackling complex, interesting, and solvable problems with elegant and efficient code.
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize work to ensure deliverables are met.
- Maintains high standards of ethics / integrity.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present information and ideas in user-friendly language. The type of knowledge & skills required including practical knowledge, techniques, specialized skills, business know how.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
- Previous Business Analysis work experience preferred.
- IIBA Certification is an asset.

This role offers an hourly pay range which is anticipated to be the range listed below. The actual pay for this position depends on a variety of factors such as but not limited to student's academic program, relevant experience, and location.
