Business Analyst - NBDB
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners to understand, document, and prioritize business needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Independently elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, workflows, existing systems, and business rules, demonstrating strong analytical skills to identify gaps, dependencies, and impacts.
- Work with UX/UI designers, technical leads, developers, and solution architects to define and validate solutions, applying critical thinking to ensure outcomes align with business needs.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements, solutions, and problems.
- Produce and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and data mapping documents.
- Breakdown complex requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring clarity and manageability.
- Write clear acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure understanding across the team.
- Lead backlog refinement sessions to ensure the team has a clear understanding of upcoming requirements before sprint planning.
- Participate actively in sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the team during the sprint by clarifying requirements, unblocking questions, and ensuring delivered work aligns with business expectations.
- Collaborate with QAs to validate test plans and test results, maintaining product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuously refine user stories through the collaboration with the scrum team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
- Proven ability to lead requirements workshops and manage stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps, assess impacts, and propose practical solutions.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application development processes, including understanding of front-end, back-end, and API concepts.
Nice to have
- Experience with backlog management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Basic SQL skills or experience querying data to support analysis and validation.
- Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
