Business Analyst, Risk & Regulatory (Banking, 1-year renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders for new business demands requiring technology or operational solutions
- Support prioritization of business requests, project pipeline planning, and pre-project activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, technology teams, and operational stakeholders to drive effective business change
- Develop high-level solution proposals to assess feasibility and achieve business objectives
- Align proposed solutions with enterprise technology roadmap and organizational strategy
- Collaborate with business users and technology teams to gather, define, and analyze business requirements
- Design robust end-to-end solutions covering both process and system flows
- Initiate implementation planning activities, including operational readiness and process transition planning
- Conduct scoping and evaluation of new initiatives, considering scalability, maintainability, cost, operational impact, and technology risks
- Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Technology teams, and Testing teams
- Support smooth delivery and implementation of solutions with technology and operations teams
- Review test strategies, support UAT planning/execution, and resolve implementation issues
- Identify project risks, assess business impact, and propose mitigation strategies
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within banking and/or consulting environments
- Strong domain knowledge in Banking Risk Management; exposure to PDPA and Client Tax/CRS Reporting is an advantage
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and process design capabilities
- Ability to translate business analysis into practical and scalable solutions
- Hands-on and resourceful team player comfortable with data analysis, Excel macros, and dashboard/mock-up creation in Excel
- Strong understanding of banking technology and operational processes across functions/departments
- Familiarity with change management processes and project management fundamentals
- Experience in project scoping and evaluation, including scalability, maintainability, cost analysis, and technology risk assessment
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing overall project delivery
- Strategic and forward-thinking mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
