Job Description
This resource will be responsible for analysing and understanding business requirements and creating functional design specifications and defining business processes
Key responsibilities:
• Analyse and design new business processes
• Work with the business and other planners to assess current capabilities and identify high-level customer requirements
• Identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases
• Work with the project manager, architects, and other team members to define metrics and performance goals for the solution
• Participate in transitioning the requirements and use cases to the designers, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
• Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing
• Participate in testing
• Participate in quality management reviews, in particular reviews of the designs, prototypes and other requirements work products to ensure they fulfil the requirements
• Serve as a liaison to the business community
• Participate in a user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective
• Serve as a resource for the change management stream as they evaluate training and performance support needs and design the training and performance support products
• Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect other areas of the project
Skills / Experience Required:
• Ability to analyse and design business processes
• Ability to quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of a client
• Ability to develop product requirements based on input gathered from a variety of sources including analysis results and feedback from the user community
• Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
• Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
• Possesses high-level technical understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design
• Business Case, financial and cost-modelling development skills
• Strong communications and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to interact with senior executives
Qualifications:
• Matric and relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma
• 2-4 years business analysis experience
• 2-4 years IT experience
• Competent in the use of MS Office tools I.E. Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint
• Years of relevant experience required: 2 to 3 years
