Business Controller – Corporate Real Estate (CRE)

Introduction to the Job

Within the global Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Business Control team, you support and steer decision-making to optimize the value CRE delivers to the organization. You provide insights, challenge assumptions, improve financial processes, and enable informed decisions related to CRE operations, portfolio management, and stakeholder support. The team operates globally with dedicated controllers supporting major ASML locations and business functions

Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Controller – Corporate Real Estate, you act as a trusted finance partner to the Netherlands CRE organization while supporting financial planning, reporting, business decision-making, and process excellence across the CRE organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the end-to-end finance business partner for CRE stakeholders and internal customers.

  • Enable, support, and challenge business decision-making through proactive financial analysis and insights.

  • Lead and coordinate recurring CRE control processes, including planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance reviews.

  • Consolidate, analyse, and communicate financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to management and key stakeholders.

  • Understand and explain business drivers behind financial variances and operational performance.

  • Safeguard business cases and financial integrity by challenging assumptions and ensuring adherence to financial policies and governance processes.

  • Organize and maintain readily available, accurate, and reliable management insights and reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, business partners, controllers, and stakeholders across sectors to align priorities and improve outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives roadmap to enhance financial processes, reporting quality, data transparency, and ways of working.

  • Share best practices and contribute to knowledge transfer across departments and teams.

  • Act as an independent driver of initiatives while effectively aligning and influencing stakeholders across a matrix organization.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in business control, finance, or corporate controlling.

  • Experience working in a complex international and matrix-driven environment.

  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders and supporting strategic decision-making.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.
