Business Deposit Specialist I, II, III, Senior

Primary Functions: The Business Deposit Specialist II is responsible for independently providing support to the Commercial Banking Officer team and delivering exceptional service to managed business members. This role supports the day to day operations of business deposit accounts and assists business members by addressing questions and resolving increasingly complex issues. As knowledge of business banking products and processes continue to develop, the role contributes to smooth account operations and helps build strong member relationships through effective problem solving and growing product expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Opening, modifying, and maintaining business deposit accounts and related services initiated by Commercial Banking Officers with minimal supervision.
  • Provide support for moderately complex administrative and operational needs of the Commercial banking Officer team while contributing to the growth and ongoing management of business banking portfolios.
  • Provide high-quality service to managed business members by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and processing updates to business accounts efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond to managed business member inquiries across all communication channels (phone, email, etc.) promptly and professionally, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to business deposit products and services; escalate complex cases when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and product offerings, including business deposit accounts and cash management services, in order to effectively support and assist members as experience and expertise grow.
  • Identify basic process enhancements to improve the efficiency and quality of services provided to business members.

  • Qualifications

    Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent.

    Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable

    Experience/Skills: Prior experience in business banking or deposit operations, or a related financial services role. Solid working knowledge of business deposit accounts and cash management products. Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Possesses a developing proficiency of banking policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards, with continued growth in applying them effectively in day to day responsibilities.

    Tenure: Assignment to the Business Deposit Specialist I (Category 11), Business Deposit Specialist II (Category 10), Business Deposit Specialist III (Category 09), and Senior Business Deposit Specialist (Category 08) position will be determined by the candidate's education and/or experience. Advancement requires management recommendation and will be based on the candidate's experience and performance.

    Compensation

    Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the range provided below. In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the listed range.

    Salary Pay Range: 08

    $79,989 - $132,798 annually

    Salary Pay Range: 09

    $69,557 - $112,677 annually

    Salary Pay Range: 10

    $63,233 - $99,908 annually

    Salary Pay Range: 11

    $57,484 - $90,230 annually
