Business Development Director

This is a remote position.

The Business Development Director (“BDR”) is responsible for fostering working relationships with organizations that can support our mission. Examples of such organizations include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial supporters such as churches and businesses

  • Feeders of volunteer resources such as churches, non-profit organizations, and local businesses.

  • Organizations that can provide resources for our clients’ journeys such as auto mechanics, child care providers, bio-mother social or support groups, professional drivers or ride-share volunteers, and vocational training organizations

Additionally, the BDR will:

  • Develop an annual new business plan that aligns with our mission, vision, and current strategic plan

  • Foster relationships with community businesses and program resources

  • Secure new partnerships and programs to meet annual goals

  • Understand and promote the organization’s services to potential (and existing) clients

  • Maintain consistent contact with potential new business contacts/leads, as well as existing clients, regarding existing or future service needs

  • Develop and give new presentations on a regular basis

  • Assist in marketing and fundraising

  • Use our Customer Relationship Management system to track and monitor our pipeline

  • Represent the organization at relevant conferences, including but not limited to, making presentations, networking, and participating on appropriate panels

  • Attend relevant networking events
