Business Development Director
This is a remote position.
The Business Development Director (“BDR”) is responsible for fostering working relationships with organizations that can support our mission. Examples of such organizations include, but are not limited to:
Financial supporters such as churches and businesses
Feeders of volunteer resources such as churches, non-profit organizations, and local businesses.
Organizations that can provide resources for our clients’ journeys such as auto mechanics, child care providers, bio-mother social or support groups, professional drivers or ride-share volunteers, and vocational training organizations
Additionally, the BDR will:
Develop an annual new business plan that aligns with our mission, vision, and current strategic plan
Foster relationships with community businesses and program resources
Secure new partnerships and programs to meet annual goals
Understand and promote the organization’s services to potential (and existing) clients
Maintain consistent contact with potential new business contacts/leads, as well as existing clients, regarding existing or future service needs
Develop and give new presentations on a regular basis
Assist in marketing and fundraising
Use our Customer Relationship Management system to track and monitor our pipeline
Represent the organization at relevant conferences, including but not limited to, making presentations, networking, and participating on appropriate panels
Attend relevant networking events
