Business Development Engineer

CSE Uniserve provides high quality local engineering design services, support and effective delivery of technically advanced products and systems to mining & heavy industry, electrical and water utility, renewable energy, transport, and oil & gas sectors specialising in the delivery of a range of solutions from electrical system protection and control to asset management, power distribution and automation.

About the role

You'll manage and grow a $4M revenue territory spanning QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and ACT — selling technically complex solutions in power conversion, protection, automation and control into Water Utilities, Transport and Industrial customers. This is a genuine hunter-farmer position: part relationship builder, part solutions architect, part deal closer. Including:

• Build and manage a strong East Coast sales pipeline, exceeding established revenue targets

• Develop lasting customer relationships through regular face-to-face visits and strategic account management

• Interpret complex customer requirements and co-develop tailored solutions

• Prepare detailed quotations and winning tender responses

• Coordinate with internal Technology Managers for pre- and post-sales technical support

• Maintain a clean, current CRM — every opportunity tracked and progressed

• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and spot new product or market white space

About you

• Electrical Engineering qualification, or proven technical understanding (required)

• Experience selling into Water, Transport, Mining or Industrial sectors

• Exposure to power conversion, protection, automation or control systems

• Existing relationships with Water Utilities on the East Coast (highly regarded)

• Proven negotiation, quotation and tender-writing skills

• Disciplined CRM and pipeline management habits

• Ability to travel across the East Coast as required
