Business Development Lead, Asia-Pacific
The Commercial Lead Asia-Pacific will drive the firm’s commercial growth across the region by developing client relationships, identifying strategic opportunities, and shaping regional growth strategy as the senior commercial representative.
Responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s commercial growth strategy across Asia-Pacific by identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand revenue, client relationships, and market presence
- Originate and develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across financial institutions, investment firms, multinational corporations, family offices, sovereign investors, and government-linked entities
- Represent the firm as a trusted ambassador by engaging in meetings, networking, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives to promote the firm’s expertise
- Develop strategic partnerships and referral networks to enhance the firm’s commercial reach and access to new business opportunities
- Collaborate with advisory, research, and operational teams to convert identified opportunities into successful client engagements and long-term partnerships
- Support the planning and execution of regional events, roundtables, briefings, and client-facing initiatives to strengthen market positioning and generate new business leads
- Provide senior leadership with market intelligence and commercial insights to inform regional strategy and business development priorities
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial leadership, business development, strategic partnerships, client relationship management, or revenue-generating roles
- Experience in advisory, consulting, professional services, intelligence, risk advisory, financial information, research, public affairs, or related sectors is advantageous
- Established network and credibility with financial institutions, investors, and multinational corporations
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills to engage confidently with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed mindset with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, open doors, and deliver commercial outcomes
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a highly visible role with responsibility for shaping the firm’s growth trajectory across Asia-Pacific
