Business Development Manager

Overview
Our client is a fast-growing logistics-tech startup in the cross-border eCommerce space, headquartered in Singapore. This is a high-impact, revenue-driving role that owns the full commercial cycle, from prospecting through to contract close, building strategic partnerships across merchants, logistics providers, and eCommerce platforms across countries, with regular travel between markets. It is a true commercial seat, not a support or account coordination role.

What You Will Do

  • Drive new business growth across Hong Kong and Mainland China by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-impact opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with merchants, logistics providers, eCommerce platforms, and key ecosystem partners.
  • Lead partnership conversations end to end, including commercial negotiations and contract execution. Conduct regular client and partner visits in Hong Kong and Mainland China to deepen relationships and accelerate growth.
  • Partner closely with Product, Operations, and Customer Success to deliver smooth onboarding and successful partnership rollouts.
  • Track market trends, competitor moves, and customer needs to uncover new routes to growth and product opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking activities. Own and maintain a robust sales pipeline and consistently deliver against growth targets.
  • Create compelling business proposals, presentations, and partnership plans tailored to prospective clients and partners.
  • Support additional business development initiatives as assigned by management.
  • What You Will Need

  • Higher Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, Account Management, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of the Hong Kong market; experience working with Mainland China clients or partners is a strong plus.
  • Exposure to cross-border eCommerce, logistics, supply chain, SaaS, or adjacent industries is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate new opportunities and grow strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
