Business Development Manager New Energies
This position is engaged in all sales phases - from cold sell calls to contractual awards, and the handover of such to the project execution and delivery organization. Focus areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Implement and continuously improve the local PWS (Power & Water Solutions) sales strategy and tactics throughout the agreed region, developing the business leveraging Emerson’s product portfolio.
- Identify and prospect, develop, drive, and close sales opportunities.
- Own the allocated order budget throughout each fiscal year.

The Business Development Manager New Energies reports to the Sales Director and has dotted-line collaborative responsibility with the European Business Support organization.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Acquire new customers in the New Energy Market (focus: Datacenters, Battery Storage & Power) in the Benelux region.
- Identify and develop sales opportunities for products, solutions, and services.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Achieve regional sales targets and drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and align solutions with their business objectives.
- Develop and execute account strategies and long-term growth plans.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape.
- Lead and coordinate complex, cross-divisional sales projects.
- Deliver presentations, proposals, and participate in industry events.
- Ensure accurate reporting and use of sales tools.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and trade regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and centers of excellence.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Control Automation Sales within Power & Renewables (Benelux).
- Proven network in the Power & Renewable Energy sector (Benelux).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in both engineering and sales/marketing (focus on control systems/processes).
- Solid technical knowledge of power & renewables, including power plant operations and DCS.
- Advanced sales and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
- Team player with willingness to travel across Benelux and occasionally Europe.
