Business Development & Operations Executive

Uliza Events is looking for a Business Development & Operations Executive<\/b> to take full control of the company\u2019s growth, enforce performance standards, and scale operations across multiple countries. This person must be capable of managing team inefficiencies, ensuring operational discipline, and driving business expansion.

Requirements<\/h3>

Key Responsibilities<\/b>

Business Development & Sales Growth<\/b>
<\/h3>
  • Identify and close deals with corporate clients, hotels, malls, event organizers, theme parks, and swimming pools.<\/b>
    <\/li>
  • Lead aggressive follow\-ups on all leads<\/b> with a target conversion rate of 80% or higher.<\/b>
    <\/li>
  • Drive new market expansion and secure partnerships<\/b> across all Uliza Events branches.
    <\/li>
  • Ensure 95% client retention<\/b> through strong customer relationship management and follow\-ups.
    <\/li>
  • Develop and execute strategies to hit monthly sales targets of at least 2 million<\/b>
    <\/li>
  • Research and analyze market trends<\/b> to improve sales performance and customer acquisition.
    <\/li><\/ul>

    Operations & Branch Management<\/b>
    <\/h3>
    • Oversee operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Ghana, and Nigeria.<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Implement strict stock management and order fulfillment<\/b> procedures to prevent delays and errors.
      <\/li>
    • Monitor and enforce KPIs<\/b> for all team members, ensuring high performance and strict execution.
      <\/li>
    • Develop efficient processes for handling international logistics, client orders, and fulfillment.<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Identify and eliminate under performers in the team, replacing them with strong executors.<\/b>
      <\/li>
    • Work with the leadership team to implement scalable operational strategies<\/b> across all regions.

      Reporting & Data\-Driven Execution<\/b>

      • Maintain detailed sales and operations reports<\/b> using advanced Excel<\/b> skills.
        <\/li>
      • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports<\/b> on revenue, sales performance, client status, and logistics.
        <\/li>
      • Draft and manage business proposals, contracts, and other documentation<\/b> in Microsoft Word.
        <\/li>
      • Analyze financial and operational data<\/b> to provide actionable insights for business growth.
        <\/li>
      • Develop systems for tracking and optimizing sales, stock levels, and fulfillment performance.<\/b>

        Qualifications & Skills Required<\/b>

        • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Operations Management, or a related field.<\/b>
          <\/li>
        • Minimum of 3 years experience<\/b> in business development, operations management, or a similar role.
          <\/li>
        • Proven ability to close high\-value corporate deals<\/b> and manage large client accounts.
          <\/li>
        • Strong leadership skills<\/b> with experience in managing and enforcing KPIs for teams.
          <\/li>
        • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel<\/b> (data analysis, reporting, forecasting).
          <\/li>
        • Experience in writing business proposals, contracts, and reports<\/b> using Microsoft Word.
          <\/li>
        • Excellent organizational and problem\-solving skills<\/b> to streamline operations across multiple branches.
          <\/li>
        • Strong communication and negotiation skills<\/b> with experience in pitching to clients.
          <\/li>
        • Ability to work under pressure<\/b> and meet aggressive performance targets.
          <\/li>
        • Experience in handling logistics and order fulfillment processes<\/b> is a plus.
