Business Development Representative

You will execute targeted outbound prospecting and engage prospective customers to build pipeline. You will research target accounts, identify stakeholders, and initiate multi-threaded outreach across email, phone, and social channels. You will qualify inbound leads, schedule meetings, maintain accurate HubSpot data, and collaborate with Account Executives, Marketing, and Partnerships. You must be professionally fluent in English and Mandarin, currently reside in Singapore, be legally authorized to work there, and be available on-site in alignment with local business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute targeted outbound prospecting across prioritized segments and accounts via email, phone, and social channels
  • Research target accounts to identify business models and potential tax reporting triggers
  • Identify key stakeholders across tax, finance, and product teams and initiate multi-threaded outreach
  • Partner with Account Executives to prioritize accounts and prepare meetings
  • Qualify inbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Schedule and coordinate qualified meetings and handoffs to Account Executives
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and account data in HubSpot
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Partnerships to follow up on campaigns, events, and partner-driven leads
  • Refine messaging and outreach strategies based on performance and feedback
  • Develop a foundational understanding of the platform and global tax information reporting requirements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role in enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Background in fintech, crypto, payments, marketplaces, or regulated SaaS highly preferred
  • Professional fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Currently reside in Singapore and be legally authorized to work there (e.g., Employment Pass or Permanent Resident)
  • On-site availability and alignment with local business operations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving global market
  • High level of curiosity and willingness to learn complex industries and products
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate across functions
