The Business Intelligence Analyst I supports a finance-led analytics function by producing reliable reporting and assisting with data analysis across the credit union. This role focuses on building foundational reporting skills, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to consistent financial reporting.
Essential Functions
  • Support a structured queue of data and reporting requests, following established prioritization.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards using defined requirements and existing data models.
  • Assist in validating reports to ensure alignment with financial systems and approved reporting sources.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to support recurring reporting needs.
  • Partner with senior analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into reporting outputs.
  • Identify and escalate data inconsistencies or quality issues.
  • Maintain documentation for reports, data sources, and processes.
  • Participate in data governance efforts and follow established data definitions and standards.
  • Support report optimization efforts to improve usability and performance

What You Bring 🎯

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years similar or related experience in Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Experience in a financial institution or credit union preferred.
  • Exposure to finance functions such as budgeting, forecasting, or profitability concepts is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and ability to build and modify queries.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau, including report development and basic data modeling.
  • Developing financial acumen and understanding of key credit union metrics.
  • Ability to validate data against defined sources with guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to explain data clearly.

  • Target hiring range $73,768.57- $92,210.71 (Depending on experience and prior to any incentives this position is eligible for)
