Business Logistics Coordinator (Food & Beverage Operations)

Mahmud's Tandoor is a fast-growing Indian-Pakistani fast food restaurant in Singapore, serving authentic cuisine through dine-in, takeaway, and delivery channels. We are seeking a Business Logistics Coordinator to support our daily operations by managing inventory, procurement, logistics coordination, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Monitor daily inventory levels for food ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired-First-Out) inventory practices.
  • Coordinate stock replenishment to ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

  • Prepare purchase orders and coordinate with approved suppliers.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Assist in sourcing alternative suppliers when required.

Operations & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate inventory requirements with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Support production planning based on sales forecasts and demand trends.
  • Ensure availability of packaging materials and operational supplies.
  • Coordinate logistics for takeaway and delivery operations.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Monitor food costs and inventory variances.
  • Assist in tracking wastage and implementing cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare inventory, procurement, and logistics reports.
  • Support management in analysing operational performance indicators.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and storage standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inventory and procurement activities.
  • Support operational audits and compliance reviews.

Requirements

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory control, procurement, warehouse operations, supply chain, or food & beverage operations preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and internship experience may be considered.

Skills

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Good organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
