Business Planning Analyst (Rakuten Travel)
Job Description:

The Business Planning Analyst at Rakuten Travel supports the growth of the Global Travel business by providing financial planning, analysis, and strategic insights. This role partners with management and regional teams to drive topline growth, optimize business performance, and support decision-making through data-driven reporting, forecasting, and market analysis across international markets.
Responsibilities:
Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for the Global Travel team
Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts to support business planning
Conduct financial analysis of global business performance across countries and channels
Partner with country managers to support market growth, identify risks, and uncover opportunities
Drive the agenda and coordination for monthly reviews and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in strategic planning, consulting, or a similar analytical role
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Japanese language proficiency is required to effectively communicate with Japan-based stakeholders and partners as part of the role.
