Business Product Manager – Partner Web & CMS

Role purpose

Own the direction, prioritisation, and outcomes for a partner‑facing web proposition, operating within a performance‑based commercial model.

You are responsible for bringing together partner needs, user experience, commercial drivers, and technical constraints into a coherent product shape — and for continuously evolving that shape through delivery, learning, and iteration.

The focus is on delivering a high‑quality partner experience while ensuring solutions are repeatable and sustainable, strengthening CMS and platform capabilities through real‑world use rather than one‑off or fragile builds.

Key responsibilities

End‑toend product ownership

  • Own the partner web product end‑to‑end, from discovery through delivery and optimisation

  • Define and maintain a clear product direction and prioritised roadmap aligned to partner outcomes

  • Balance partner requirements, user impact, business value, delivery feasibility, and long‑term sustainability

Shaping CMS and platform usage

  • Shape how CMS and platform capabilities are used to support partner needs, including content models, workflows, roles and permissions, and publishing governance

  • Ensure clear separation between partner‑specific configuration and reusable core capability

  • Work closely with Capability Owners and Engineering teams to identify where partner delivery exposes gaps, constraints, or improvement opportunities in existing capabilities

Delivery enablement & product shaping

  • Work closely with engineering teams, delivery Product Owners, and design to shape problems, define outcomes, and prioritise work

  • Stay actively involved throughout delivery, refining scope and making trade‑offs as learning and constraints emerge

  • Provide clear product intent and direction without owning every ticket or backlog item

Stakeholder & partner leadership

  • Act as a credible senior interface with partner stakeholders on priorities, progress, risks, and trade‑offs

  • Align internal teams across capability, engineering, and commercial stakeholders around shared outcomes

Performance & optimisation

  • Define and track success metrics for the partner web proposition

  • Use data and insight to guide prioritisation, iteration, and performance improvements over time

Decisionmaking authority

  • Owns product‑level prioritisation and sequencing, and provides a strong, informed steer on trade‑offs affecting partner outcomes, delivery pace, and long‑term sustainability

  • Makes clear recommendations to the Business Line Owner on initiatives that materially affect performance, scope, or delivery approach

  • Acts as the primary escalation point for cross‑team conflicts relating to scope, prioritisation, or product direction, ensuring decisions are surfaced with clear options and implications

Success measures

  • A clear, coherent partner web product delivering measurable performance outcomes

  • High‑quality partner experiences delivered without reliance on bespoke or fragile solutions

  • CMS and platform capabilities strengthened through partner delivery, not weakened

  • Clear differentiation maintained between partner‑specific configuration and reusable capability

  • Strong cross‑functional alignment and predictable progress against agreed priorities

Skills & experience

  • Significant experience owning outcomes in a B2B product‑led role

  • Proven ability to work hands‑on with delivery teams to shape problems, priorities, and trade‑offs

  • Experience with CMS‑driven products, platform‑based web propositions, or configurable / white‑label style offerings

  • Strong product judgement and curiosity: comfortable exploring user, partner, and market needs where the solution is not already defined

  • Able to translate insight into practical product decisions rather than theoretical strategy

  • Confident operating with external partners and senior internal stakeholders

  • Commercially minded, with experience defining and using KPIs to guide decisions
