A role you will love

As a Business Support Senior Administrator, you’ll work at a regional level within the DPS division, partnering closely with teams across Operations, the DPS Contact Centre, Risk, Billing, and Financial Crime. This varied position offers a strong sense of ownership, where you’ll balance priorities, meet key deadlines, and play an important role in keeping business operations running smoothly.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you’ll handle escalated queries from the Administration Support Team, making sure deliverables meet agreed service levels. You’ll also support colleagues by sharing guidance, producing regular reports, and maintaining high standards of data accuracy. In addition, you’ll contribute to government and risk reporting and coordinate system-related issues by logging, prioritising, and providing updates to stakeholders.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Subject Access Requests (SARs) and delivering them within required timeframes
  • Providing clear, professional responses to both client and internal queries
  • Keeping current with Business Support processes and wider organisational procedures
  • Acting as a Business Continuity Champion or Deputy, meeting all associated requirements
  • Taking ownership of your workload and performing effectively under pressure
  • Contributing to risk-related activities and supporting project work as needed
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase team efficiency

Salary, location and hours

This is a hybrid role, and the position is full time, Monday to Friday, with no weekend working required. The starting salary is £26,000 (dependent on experience and interview performance). You’ll need to live within a one-hour commute of our Bristol office (Bridgwater Road, South Bristol, BS13 8AE Computershare - Google Maps)

You will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to suggest practical solutions
  • Understanding of compliance processes and escalation pathways
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Deposit Protection Service (desirable)
