Your Opportunity:
Venture Solutions, Inc, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Business Systems Analyst to join their technology team in Ft. Worth, TX! In this role, you will be facilitating discussions with our clients and internal cross-functional teams to help develop detailed business and technical documentation to support software systems that integrate with complex data systems to build new solutions or modify existing customer solutions and products. It’s critical (and exciting) to our future! You would help us elicit and document requirements, communicate workflows, log issues, build training documentation/videos, and offer clarification to business users regarding IT solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements
Facilitate requirements gathering and review sessions
Bridge the gaps and serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
Understand and analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements to optimize mortgage operations
Translate business needs into clear and concise technical documents and functional specifications for developers; translate information and questions from developers into language stakeholders can understand
Perform gap analysis of current state and desired end-state of an application
Assess and validate solutions to ensure internal and external requirements are met throughout the development cycle
Create and maintain artifacts for projects and system documentation, including workflow diagrams, spreadsheets, PDF mockups, training presentations, BRDs, and user guides
Participate in project planning sessions, defining the scope of the project and defining the business requirements
Design and execute test plans and participate in system testing
Participation in R&D Team Meetings and prepare and/or edit meeting minutes, presentations and tables
May be called upon as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business partners, clients and/or the technical team for post deployment product support, relating to business process and workflow
Work with project stakeholders to identify, document and validate requirements. Help to scope the system, identify potential areas of automation and reengineer the underlying business process
You Must Have:
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders, business partners, and technical teams
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects at the same time
Ability to work collaboratively and build rapport with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
The initiative to take responsibility for understanding the problem, finding alternative approaches to troubleshoot or solve issues
A Bachelor’s degree plus professional experience in the role of business analyst or systems analyst
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of business analysis, project management, and client support
The ability to respect and maintain confidential information
Experience with creating various technical artifacts – process maps, business requirement document, gap analysis document, etc
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office product suite (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.)

We Would Also Prefer:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
Experience in the mortgage, insurance or financial services industry
Experience in the print industry
Project Coordinator or project management experience
Knowledge of Agile and/or Kanban as well as the Waterfall Frameworks
Familiarity with Jira and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Basic knowledge of marketing, advertising, and/or application development
Certifications: IIBP-CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBP-AAC or similar
Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, highly preferred
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000-85000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
