Butcher

The Butcher provides various services such as, but not limited to, weighing, wrapping, cutting, and trimming meat from larger wholesale portions in a retail or factory environment.

Job Responsibilities:

§ Upon goods receiving, inspect and ensure meat is at the correct temperature and condition before storage

§ Ensure that meat handling and storage procedures comply with hygiene and safety standards

§ Operate and perform meat-cutting functions including trimming, deboning, portioning, slicing, and processing to specifications

§ Ensure that meat processing equipment is in clean and good working conditions

§ Maintain an organised and sanitary work environment

§ Record sampling, wastage, and daily production/sales

§ Prepare sales transactions

§ Provide service to customers, meeting their needs and expectations

§ Execute other ad-hoc duties, as required

Job Requirements:

  • Basic literacy in English language
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in food- or butchery-related industry
  • WSQ certification in basic food hygiene
